The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office accepts the following methods of payment on all
- Cashier’s check
- Certified check
- Personal check with a letter of credit from your bank.
- Cash payment is NOT accepted
All money must be present with the bidder at the time of the sale (you will not be
allowed to leave the building to retrieve money.)
Cashier’s or Certified Check.
Cashier and certified checks must be made out to the
Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office or JPSO.
Personal checks with letter of credit must be presented on
bank letterhead and dated, including purchasers name and account
number you will be writing the check against. The letter needs to be
signed by an officer from the bank. Banks must be local. No out of state
bank will be accepted. No temporary checks.
Payment is for the full purchase price at the time of sale unless
otherwise noted in advertisement.
This is a public auction; all bids must be pronounced out loud.
